काला घोड़ा एसोसिएशन के सहयोग से बीएमसी द्वारा शुरू की गई एमवीपी परियोजना में कल शारवरी वाघ, बृंदा मिलर, संजोग कबरे - डीएमसी स्पेशल, चंदा जाधव - उप द्वारा घोषित दो विजेताओं को देखा गया। नगर आयुक्त, शशि बाला, बिजनेस हेड एमसीजीएम सहित अन्य। पहला पुरस्कार साईसमर्थ मुले के मूल ट्रैक द मुंबई धनक के लिए टीम टिकल टॉकीज को मिला, जबकि दूसरा पुरस्कार टीम थिंकिंग मोड द्वारा मूल ट्रैक मुंबा के लिए डी एमसी एंड डी'विल द्वारा प्राप्त किया गया। आरजे अपूर्वा एमसी थे, जूरी सदस्य निर्मिका सिंह - संपादक, द रोलिंग स्टोन मैग और संगीत निर्देशक मिलिंद जोशी भी उपस्थित थे।

ये खूबसूरत पल कलाकार राम प्रतिहार के लिए एक जश्न के जैसा हैं जहाँ पर उनकी कला को देखने के लिए मनोरंजन की दुनिया के सितारे उमड़ पड़े। जहाँ उनके हुनर की लाजवाब आजमाइश ने सभी का दिल जीत लिया। जी हा, मुंबई के जहांगीर आर्ट गैलेरी में आर्टिस्ट राम प्रतिहार के इकलौते आर्ट शो को देखने के लिए एक भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी। जहाँ  रूपकुमार राठौड़, लेस्ली लुईस, रूपाली सूरी, अनुभवी कलाकार पद्मनाभ बेंद्रे, किरण चोपड़ा, कला संग्रहकर्ता अजॉयकांत रुइया, गौतम पटोले, डॉ. अनुषा श्रीनिवासन अय्यर, कलाकार परमेश पॉल, संजुक्ता अरुण, विप्टा कपाड़िया, आशीष कुमार श्रृंगी, कमल जैन, प्रदीप चंद्रा जैसे कला के कद्रदान चीयर करने पहुंचे। राम प्रतिहार राजस्थान के ऐतिहासिक शहर बूंदी के रहने वाले हैं।

 13 जून तक  के लिए जहांगीर आर्ट गैलरी में राम प्रतिहार की लगभग 25 सर्वश्रेष्ठ पेंटिंग विज़िटर्स के लिए प्रदर्शन के लिए रखी गयी हैं।
 कैनवास और कागज पर ऐक्रेलिक रंगों में बनाई गई राम प्रतिहार की पेंटिंग चमकीले और धुंधले रंगों के संयोजन का दावा करती हैं, जिनमें से प्रत्येक का अपना अनूठा स्पर्श है।  राम के पास रंगों की अपनी दुनिया है, पीला, बैंगनी, लाल, काला, सफेद और नीला उनका पसंदीदा है।  वह रंगों का उपयोग करके कैनवास पर जगह बांटता है, एक ऐसी तकनीक जो उसे अन्य कलाकारों से अलग करती है।

 अमूर्त शैली में ये बिना शीर्षक वाली पेंटिंग दर्शकों को एक नई कला दृष्टि प्रदान करती हैं।  राम प्रतिहार इससे पहले जयपुर, कोटा और दिल्ली में अपने चित्रों का प्रदर्शन कर चुके हैं।  मुंबई में यह उनका पहला मौका है।  इस अद्भुत कलाकार का भविष्य कितना उज्ज्वल है, इस बारे में लोगों ने बात की।

राजश्री प्रोडक्शन्स की अगली फ़िल्म के लिए साथ आये राजवीर देओल और अवनीश बड़जात्या

राजश्री प्रोडक्शन्स  की पहचान देश के एक अग्रणी और प्रतिष्ठित फ़िल्म प्रोडक्शन हाउस के तौर पर होती है। इस प्रोडक्शन हाउस को एक से बढ़कर एक पारिवारिक और लोकप्रिय मनोरंजक फ़िल्मों के लिए जाना जाता है।

बड़जात्या परिवार के नेतृत्व में 74 साल से चल रहे इस प्रोडक्शन हाउस की चौथी पीढ़ी अब इसकी गौरवशाली परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाने, और इसकी कमान संभालने को तैयार है। ग़ौरतलब है कि राजश्री प्रोडक्शन्स द्वारा बनाई जा रही अगली फ़िल्म का निर्देशन अवनीश बड़जात्या करेंगे। उल्लेखनीय है कि इस फ़िल्म के माध्यम से एक डायरेक्टर के तौर पर डेब्यू करने जा रहे अवनीश निर्माता/निर्देशक सूरज बड़जात्या के बेटे हैं। इतना ही नहीं, राजश्री प्रोडक्शन्स की इस 59वीं पेशकश का लेखन भी अवनीश ने ख़ुद ही किया है। अवनीश की इस पहली फ़िल्म में सुपरस्टार सनी देओल के छोटे बेटे राजवीर देओल बतौर हीरो अपना डेब्यू करेंगे।

यूके में रंगमंच से संबंधित अध्ययन करने के बाद, राजवीर ने असिस्टेंट डायरेक्टर के तौर पर भी काम किया है। राजवीर ने रंगमंच के मशहूर निर्देशक डायरेक्टर फ़िरोज़ अब्बास ख़ान के मातहत प्रशिक्षण भी हासिल किया है। ऐसे में पूरी तैयारी के साथ राजवीर राजश्री प्रोडक्शन्स की अगली फ़िल्म में डेब्यू करने जा रहे हैं।

राजवीर के बारे में अवनीश कहते हैं, "राजवीर अपनी आँखों से बहुत कुछ बयां कर जाते हैं। वे बहुत ही मेहनतकश शख़्स भी हैं। जैसे-जैसे हम इस प्रोजेक्ट को लेकर एक-दूसरे से चर्चा करते चले गये, मुझे इस बात का एहसास होता गया कि राजवीर ही हीरो के तौर पर मेरी फ़िल्म के लिए पूर्णतया उपयुक्त शख़्स हैं।”

इस फ़िल्म में एक आधुनिक लव स्टोरी को दर्शाया गया है। इस फ़िल्म‌ में अवनीश और राजवीर की ज़िंदगी का अक्स नज़र आएगा जिसमें आज की दुनिया में प्यार और रिश्तों के मानी समझाने की कोशिश की जाएगी। उल्लेखनीय है कि इस फ़िल्म‌ में राजवीर के अपोज़िट हीरोइन का किरदार निभाने वाली लड़की की तलाश अभी भी जारी है‌।

उम्मीद के मुताबिक ये फ़िल्म इस साल जुलाई महीने में फ़्लोर पर जाएगी और इसे अगले साल यानि 2022 में देशभर में रिलीज़ किया जाएगा।

डिजिटल स्टार सतीश रे दिखेंगे 'पांडेजी ज़रा संभलके' में एक नये अवतार में !

 

 

आज की शहरी ज़िंदगी पूरी तरह से तनाव और अन्य जटिलताओं से परिपूर्ण होती है. ऐसे में हंसने-हंसाने की ज़रूरत पहले से कहीं ज़्यादा महसूस की जाने‌ लगी है. ऐसे में अब आपको हंसाने के लिए कॉमेडी सीरीज़  'पांडेजी ज़रा संभलके' जल्द ही आपके सामने पेश होगी.

 

इस सीरीज़ की कहानी मनोज पांडे (सतीश रे) नामक एक ऐसे शख़्स के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है जो अपनी गर्लफ़्रेंड दिबोशी (डॉली चावला) के साथ लिव-इन-रिलेशनशिप में रहता है. उसकी ख़्वाहिश हमेशा से ही दिबोशी से शादी करने की रही है लेकिन उसकी ज़िंदगी में एक ऐसा मोड़ आता है जब वो ख़ुद को अपनी बचपन की दोस्त इशिता (कनिका खन्ना) की तरफ़ आकर्षित पाता है जिससे फिल्म में हास्य की नई नई परिस्थितियों का निर्माण होता है. अभिनेता प्रकाश जैस इस सीरीज़ में सतीश रे के दोस्त नरेश के अहम रोल में नज़र आएंगे.

 

उल्लेखनीय है कि इससे पहले सतीश रे द्वारा निभाए गये ईमानदार शर्मा, अल्फ़ा पांडे और बबन भोला जैसे किरदार काफ़ी लोकप्रिय साबित हुए थे. उनके शो 'ईमानदार इंटरव्यू' के साथ साथ भोजपुरी और बिहारी लहज़े में उनके बोलने का अंदाज़ भी देशभर के युवाओं को ख़ासा पसंद आया था. अब इस सीरीज़ में सतीश रे का फिर से एक नया अंदाज़ देखने को मिलेगा.

 

'पांडे जी संभलके' का निर्माण किया है मैत्री फिल्म प्रोडक्शन के गनु दादा और अमोल भोसले ने जबकि इस सीरीज़ को विनय शांडिल्य ने निर्देशित किया है. वहीं निखिल रायबोले और भूपेंद्रकुमार नंदन ने‌ इस सीरीज़ को मिलकर लिखा है.

कॅफे स्टुडिओज के बैनर तले बनी सीरीज 'पांडे जी ज़रा संभलके' 17 फरवरी से MX प्लेयर पर उपलब्ध होगी. इस सीरीज का पोस्टर वैलेंटाइन डे के एक दिन बाद जारी किया जाएगा. ठीक ऐसे वक्त पर जब पांडेजी हमेशा के लिए अपनी वैलेंटाइन की सहेली के प्रति आकर्षित हो रहे होंगे!

The Trophy for Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award 2020 was inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhawan. The award show will be on 24th November at Peninsula Grand Hotel, Sakinaka , Andheri East  where the film industry's honorable artists, technician team, media person, NGO and others will be awarded with trophies .

And for the first time, Lightmen and Spot Boy will receive the award . Well-known social worker of Mira Road, Dr. Ajay L. Dubey , businessman Sushil Yadav , actor Bheru Jain and Founder of Award Kalyanji Jana met Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari and discussed the details of Award .

Kamala Harris’s rise sends a message of hope to young girls of colour and every immigrant in the US: Tel K Ganesan

US State Senator, politician, lawyer and Vice-Presidential running mate Kamala Devi Harris has scripted history by being the first Indian-American or African-American woman to be appointed as the Vice-Presidential running mate. 

It is a known fact that Kamala Harris has a huge support base in the Indian-American community. Indian-born Hollywood producer, philanthropist and serial entrepreneur Tel K Ganesan is excited at the power push for the senator as it “sends a message of hope to young girls of colour, and any immigrant, for that matter.”

Ganesan, who met Harris at Detroit, Michigan during her political run for the primary race of the Democratic presidential ticket, avers that Harris is “high energy, positive, upbeat and a bubbly person.” Ganesan had an instant connect with her. “We shared wonderful, happy moments. She is very friendly. It is much like talking to a friendly neighbour.” Both Ganesan and Harris’s mother Shyamala Gopalan hail from Chennai. “We very briefly spoke in Tamil – vanakkam and nandri. We did talk about sambar,” he grins. 

Though Harris considers herself black, she has also spoken of her Indian roots. Harris has worked in international development around the world and return to live in villages throughout India in the mid-90s. Her matrilineal family of strong South Indian women has always been her inspiration. Her mother is a Tamilian from Chennai, and had moved to the US for higher studies. Her father is Donald Harris, of Jamaican descent. Ganesan is very proud of Harris’s achievement. “As an immigrant, it is a great inspiration. She already has a track record of breaking barriers. She started off as the first person of color in the office of the district attorney in San Francisco as a tough prosecutor and later as California Attorney General before winning the Senate seat four years ago. Harris is also the first person of Indian descent to ever get on the presidential ticket. Harris amassed more than $35 million over 11 months despite challenges that black women candidates face in raising money.  If the Biden-Harris ticket wins, Harris will be the highest-ranking female US official in the country’s 244-year history. And it is not just that, Biden who would be 78 if he wins, might only serve a single four-year term, instantly making Harris a leading 2024 Democratic Presidential contender. She serves on several high-profile committees in the Senate including the Intelligence Committee and the Judiciary Committee.”

Ganesan believes that such a historic move is only possible in a country like the United States. "Hope fuels life and hope fuels opportunities. This will address the bottom-line issue of under-representation of women and minorities on US public company boards and will match the changing demographics we are experiencing in the country today."

Statistics reveal that 42% of women in the US have faced gender discrimination at work. Even in the military, women represent 16% of the enlisted forces and 19% of the office corps. "Kamala Harris’s rise opens up the dream of women and minorities sharing the same power, privileges, rights and opportunities as the privileged and is a giant stride for women in politics. India and Pakistan have had women in political power, but for the US, this is a first. A person born of immigrant parents running for the second highest position in the land, shows us the impossible is possible. It reinforces that the American Dream is still alive and well.”

Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh, Mud Mud Ke… Asha Tai turns 87-years-young! And there is only one way for her. To look forward…

The enchanting songstress who has mesmerised Indian cinema for even decades turned 87 tonight. And Asha tai, with her infectious smile and contagious energy, heralded her coming-of-age with announcing that she is going to get the chefs at her restaurant to try out her new veg and non-veg recipes, created by her during lockdown. “I am very fast at what I do. Whether it is singing or cooking. So when I create recipes, others run out of the kitchen, not able to match my speed!”

Biting into a piece of her favourite Fresh Cream Fruit Cake, made of fruits and dry fruits, specially brought in from Mumbai by granddaughter Zanai, Asha Bhosle who has been in Lonavla with her son Anand, daughter-in-law Anuja, grandchildren Zanai and Ranjai, spoke of how it feels complete to be together with family on her birthday. Zanai also got her favourite Japanese and Chinese food brought down from Mumbai despite lockdown, confided the singer with a contented smile.

Talk of her grandchildren Zanai and Ranjai, and Asha tai’s pride is evident in her speech. “Both the kids are very talented. Zanai sings, and in her, I see myself as a child.”

But the child in Asha tai is very much alive and singing, as she reveals that she has a lot to look forward to in the journey from 87 to 88.

“After listening to over 3000 voices for my talent show #AshaKiAsha, I have a very difficult task in hand to choose the best. Young talents from across the globe have sent their recordings. Some of them are very poor and live in harsh conditions, but are truly God-gifted with divine voices. It will not be an easy task to select one. But this is my change to share my 70 years of experience with youngsters and give back to music what I got. And I am grateful to God every single day for that.”

Asha tai also looks forward to her live concerts, and cooking and feeding people, both at home and her restaurants that have expansion plans, and wants to work to generate employment for the women in Lonavla. “I want to help these women stand on their own feet. It has not been easy for the common man during Corona. And it has not been easy for the poor women from here, whom I have seen during the epidemic. I want to do something concrete for them.”

“Looking back, Asha tai has no regrets. I am happy I have lived and loved,” she says. “I have lived an honest life. I am happy that I stood on my own feet as a 10-year-old singing my first song. Today at 87, I am still singing and standing on my own feet. And I have a beautiful family, and an even larger fan-family. What more could I ask for!”
